On Tuesday, Jan 31 at 7pm, St. Edward’s Catholic Church and Beacon Tree Foundation will co-host a community suicide awareness and prevention event. This is for parents and high school age teens in the community.

WHERE: The event will be in a free-standing building called the “Youth Room.” Come in from Woodmont at the stoplight off Huguenot Road and take a left into the St. Edward’s parking lot. It’s the last building on the right.

I will be sharing my story about Charles Rogers, my son who died by suicide June 5, 2015, and answering questions. We will talk about the why, what can we do, resources and initiatives around the area focused on suicide awareness and prevention.

Scroll to the bottom to register. Not required but we’d like to make sure we have enough chairs and snacks! Refreshments available.

Anne Moss Rogers is currently the President of Beacon Tree and will include other mental health, suicide prevention support nonprofit resources in the area. This presentation will be following AFSP-endorsed ReportingonSuicide.org Guidelines. Counselors on hand.
