Is your mailman a drug dealer?

Typically your mail carrier is not a drug dealer by choice.

Comic genius, Mitch Hedberg had a joke in his set about how his UPS guy was unknowingly a drug dealer. Mitch died from a drug-related death the night I went to go see his show in Richmond, VA at the Funny Bone. They had a substitute on stage that night who had been inserted last minute and it wasn’t until the next day we found out Hedberg had died that day. It was the first time I had heard that you could order illegal drugs from the internet.

When Charles was a teen, the party drugs were his drug of choice although he didn’t have the type of funds necessary to make online deals. But spyware revealed he tried to order them.

Typically drug dealing is a cash business. But drugs on the internet are often purchased by bitcoin or prepaid debit cards. A lot of drugs are advertised through Instagram using hashtags which change quickly to stay one step ahead of the law.

Clues for parents or loved ones include a household family member who gets frequent packages with nothing to show for it and other signs of drug use.

I lost my youngest son, Charles, 20, to suicide June 5, 2015. As talented and funny as Charles was, letting other people know they matter was his greatest gift. And now the legacy I try and carry forward in my son's memory.
