VOICEOVER: It was Barbara's job to scrap used gum off parking lots--a specialized field but not a particularly respected one. She always thought she'd have the kind of job that would inspire her children to follow in her footsteps. "Let's hope they don't," she sighed as she scraped a huge sticky glob from her shoe. Was this all there was to life? As she pondered the question (SFX: APPROACHING CAR ENGINE), she ignored THE MOST IMPORTANT safety rule of her job. Never lie down in a parking lot to ponder a philosophical question, or you may get run over by a car. Well that very thing happened, but luckily, she wasn't hurt too seriously. As she lay there on the warm asphalt, it came to her that this was a sign. A sign she should go to college, Durham Tech, of course, and pursue a career in auto mechanics. The moral of the story is....get your tail in gear and sign up for classes starting September 6th at Durham Tech. Because waiting for the idea to hit you may be hazardous to your health. Simply call 470-TECH. Again, that's 470-3824.
